Lisa Stuck Volleyball Bio

stuckLisa just completed her 11th season as Head Coach of the Gauchos. In each of past 10 seasons Glendale Volleyball has earned a berth in the Region I Championship Tournament. In 2007 & 2004 the Gauchos were runners-up in the Region I Championship. In 2002 the Gauchos won the Region I Championships and finished 3rd at the NJCAA National Tournament in Toledo, Ohio. In 1999 she guided the Gauchos to their third consecutive appearance at the NJCAA National Tournament. Glendale placed in the top 8 in each of those NJCAA Tournament appearances; including a third place national finish in 1997. She has received 3 NJCAA District Coach of the Year Honors as well as American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Tachikara Jr. College/Southwest Region Coach of the Year in ‘98. From 2002-2004 she was Head Coach of the USA Volleyball High Performance Team for the Arizona Region; an elite youth program designed to identify upcoming talent for the USA National Volleyball Team. Previously, she spent 3 seasons as the assistant coach at Northern Arizona University. Prior to NAU, Lisa was the Head Coach at Mesa Community College for 4 years and Asst., Coach for University Nevada Las Vegas for a year. Lisa is a graduate of Arizona State University where she enjoyed a very successful volleyball career. She was ASU’s first All-American volleyball player and was the first ASU volleyball player to be inducted into the ASU Athletic Hall of Fame. She has competed in two U.S. Sports Festivals, the World University Games, and toured with the U.S. National Team. She is a valley native and a product of Apollo High School.
