Club Arrowhead Coach:
Mary Christner Volleyball Bio
This is Mary’s 2nd year coaching for Club Arrowhead. She is Impact
certified. Mary coached last year as 12-1s assistant where the team
finished 2nd in the region, 1st at the Cactus Classic, and 3rd at the
volleyball festival. Mary was also the assistant coach for Marshall
Ranch in 2009 and 2010, where both years the team won the Spikefest
Tournament and the Peoria District Tournament. Currently, Mary is
volunteering as the boys’ volleyball coach at Deer Valley Middle
School. Throughout her club and school volleyball career, Mary played
a few different positions including, setter, outside hitter, and
opposite. Mary played club volleyball for 5 years, 2 of those years
going to nationals in Texas and Utah with Club Arrowhead. She played
for Cactus High School all 4 years and made varsity as a junior where
the team made it to the semi-finals in the state tournament for 4A
Division I, and then her senior year the team was state runners up for
4A Division I. Mary is a junior at Arizona State University and
currently pursuing her BA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in
the Biological Sciences.
