FUNDRAISING Q&A:
Fry’s Cards:
1) How do the Fry’s cards work? Each card comes preloaded with $5. Every time the card is reloaded 6% of the amount loaded comes back to the player and will be credited to their account. Example: Card is preloaded with $5 and the user loads another $200 to the card. Profit = $12.30.
2) When will my profits be credited to my account? Fry’s sends a check to Club Arrowhead twice per year (in the fall and early spring). The fall payout will be credited to your account in time for tryouts (be sure to ask about this at checkout on tryout day if you are expecting a credit for card usage since the spring payout); the spring payout will be credited to your account in March/April, before the last monthly payment is due.
a. How does Club Arrowhead know what to credit my account? Card numbers are tracked as you purchase the cards under the PLAYER’S full name. When the payout is received we match the card numbers listed on the payout to the cards purchased for your child.
b. Do I need to purchase a new card every year? No, you do not have to purchase a new card for your player unless the card has deactivated. Cards purchased previously will continue to be tracked by Club Arrowhead and reported on the Fry’s payout report.
3) What is the easiest way to reload and use the card? You can reload the card at any cashier’s station at a Fry’s store (you can even reload your car at the cashier station at the gas pumps); before the cashier rings up your order ask them to reload your Fry’s card for any amount. Complete that transaction (you can load your card using cash or debit) and then have them ring up your purchases as normal. Pay with your Fry’s card.
4) Can I use the card for groceries and gas? Yes, you can use your Fry’s card at any Fry’s store for groceries, gas and all other items available at Fry’s.
5) Is there a limit to the number of Fry’s cards I can purchase? NO! You can purchase as many cards as you’d like, giving them to family & friends to use. Be sure to tell them ‘how’ to use the card and how it benefits your child. Everyone needs groceries and gas!
6) Tips for using the card:
a. Be sure to reload the card often; cards can deactivate after a couple months of non-use. If the card is deactivated due to non-use it cannot be reactivated, a new card would be needed.
b. Going out to dinner, a movie, buying a gift card for someone’s birthday? Consider purchasing a gift card at Fry’s for these events. Simply have the cashier load your card with the amount needed to make your purchase and then use the card to pay for the additional gift cards. EXAMPLE: You need to purchase a $25 gift card for dinner and $25 for a movie. Ask the cashier to load your Fry’s card with $50 (using cash or your debit card); complete that transaction and then purchase these cards using your Fry’s gift card. This is a great idea for Christmas which is right around the corner!
General Fundraising Info:
We try to do different fundraisers throughout the season to give you an opportunity to earn money toward your dues. Some teams have done their own fundraisers by contacting local restaurants or businesses and arranging a fundraising day. A restaurant may agree to give you a percentage of profits they earn on a predetermined day to benefit your team.
