Our Coaches and staff advocate a positive coaching approach to build self-esteem while building confidence, knowledge and a passion for volleyball. We want to see you succeed and reach your highest potential in volleyball.
As we join together to provide a positive volleyball experience for everyone, we focus on quality and commitment to excellence. There are few things in life in which ability alone is enough. You also need loyalty, sincerity, enthusiasm and cooperation. Our coaches and staff strive to not only to create that atmosphere, but exhibit it as well.
In keeping with those commitments, all our coaches and staff receive continuing education. Our coaches are certified in three different levels. They all are IMPACT certified, CAP certified or CAP II certified. Additionally, for everyone's safety, our coaches are CPR certified as well and carry first aid equipment with them to all practices and tournaments. CA has the highest number of CAP I and CAP II certified.
How does Club Arrowhead choose/hire a coach for our club?
We have some rules that apply first
1. Head Coach must be at least 5 years older than the group of athletes they are coaching
2. You cannot be a head coach for a 1's (use NATIONAL instead of 1's) team and coach your own daughter
We feel it is in the best interest for our head coaches to not be affiliated with the players by family
3. We love having the young coaches out of college come back to us and coach but we feel that
taking on a Head coach role right out of college is not always good for the players and parents, as well as the coach.
so we place our brand new coaches at the assistant level first before becoming a head
coach for our club.
4. We strive to obtain quality coaches. We have pride in the fact that we do retain our coaches once
they start with us. We have a retention level of an average of 9 years that coaches stay with us
