Nam to Sand Jam West is a tribute concert honoring veterans from Vietnam to Iraq, marking 50 years since the Vietnam War’s end. Originating from the 1988 Nam Jam, this inaugural West Coast event features live music, guest speakers, and free entry for vets and kids.

About the event
Nam Jam began in 1988 in Tucson, AZ, founded by Army veteran David Croteau with Martin and Holiday as the lead band. The name “Sand Jam” was later added to honor Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. It is now a trademarked name.
A local Vietnam Marine veteran from Crestline—former VVA 106 Chapter President and early Nam Jam supporter—helped bring the event west.
Now, in partnership with the Department of Defense, we’re launching the inaugural Nam to Sand Jam West, marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
